In addition to the Coaches that will assist with the physical training and development, A+ Sports Academy has various local professionals on staff to facilitate the Academic and Life Skill section of the Program:
Coach Herb “Moby” Oliver, a native Angelino that grew up in Compton and Long Beach, CA and played NCAA Division I College Basketball at the University of Portland. During his travels, Coach Oliver played in Japan, coached in the NBA Summer Pro/AM Basketball League (Coaching players such as Freeman Williams, Clippers, John Williams, Clippers, Lester Connors, Warriors, Tellis Frank, Warriors, Larry Spriggs, Lakers and Mike McGee, Lakers), was a volunteer coach at Los Angeles Southwest College Junior College Men’s Basketball Team and was the Head Ladies Basketball Coach at Saddleback High School.
Coach Oliver, who believed in community outreach and the need to provide a safe environment for youth (from underserved youth to economically advantaged youth) in the Antelope Valley to play sports, service the community and develop life skills. Through athletic and academic life skill programs, Coach Oliver, in conjunction with other local community outreach leaders have been able to impact the lives of many young men and women.

An accomplished NBA and Italian League Veteran for 12 years, best known for his 6 seasons with the New Jersey Nets (now Brooklyn Nets).
Played 8 successful years in the NBA, playing for the Nets, Washington Bullets (Wizards), San Antonio Spurs, and Denver Nuggets. Played 4 years in the Italian Basketball League with Scavolini, where he won two Italian Championships 1988, and 1990.
College Basketball Coach at UNLV from 1992-1996, where he learned the styles of coaching under Rollie Massimino and coached College All-American Isiah Rider(JR) top ten Draft pick.
College Basketball Coach at Pepperdine from 1997-2000, coach under Lorenzo Romar (Univ. of Washington).
Former Athletic Director at AV Christian School where he worked to reform the sports programs by reaching out to the Antelope Valley Community.
Former AV Christian Basketball Coach Boys’ basketball for 5 years, Girls basketball, 4 years.
